I had the honor of capturing Greta & Alex's engagement session out at a place that is close to their hearts (and mine, too!). Base Camp is the center of the action for the wilderness expeditions they guide in northern Canada, and that's where I got to know the two of them really well (apart from knowing of each other back in high school). It's a place that fosters deep friendships that are rooted in nature, leadership, kindness, and so many more important qualities, and when Greta approached me about doing this session, she knew without a doubt that she wanted to do their photos here. And it was perfection. We had an awesome time exploring, talking about life, finding beautiful light, and making photos that I hope they treasure for many years to come! I am so excited to photograph their wedding this fall - judging from the sheer love they have for each other and the way they make each other laugh, it's going to be an awesome celebration!!
